Katia Vargas de la Cruz, an Equity Officer/Investigator, she is originally from Chihuahua Mexico, but lived in Las Cruces, NM for Fourteen years. She is a graduate of New Mexico State University having earned a Master of Public Administration and a Master of Criminal Justice. During her graduate studies, she was employed in the criminal justice and government department as a Graduate Assistant. Also, she served as a vice-president of activities for the Graduate Student Council. Most recently Katia was an Intern for over a year at the Civil Rights Department of United States Department of Agriculture, as an Equal Employment Opportunity Specialist. She is passioned about supporting and encouraging students toward success.
