Christina Gomez Rodriguez has served as the Executive Administrative Assistant/Specialist for the Office of Institutional Equity (OIE) since 2007. With over two decades of service at NMSU, she plays a vital role in supporting the university’s legal and compliance functions related to Title IX, ADA, EEO, and discrimination matters.
As the primary administrative support for OIE, Christina serves as a confidential liaison for sensitive issues involving employees, students, legal counsel, and federal agencies. She manages the office’s daily operations, including complex scheduling for executive leadership, budget oversight, purchasing, and records management. Christina is also the first point of contact for the office and oversees internal communications, complaint intake, and case tracking.
Her extensive responsibilities include maintaining the Simplicity case management system, managing Clery and NCAA Title IX reporting, tracking mandatory training for athletics, and conducting high-level data analysis for compliance with federal and institutional reporting requirements. She also supports investigative teams by organizing case files, preparing reports, and ensuring procedural compliance.
Christina has led key initiatives such as transitioning OIE to remote operations during the COVID-19 pandemic, designing document retention systems, and planning university-wide awareness events and trainings. Her prior experience in Employee Relations, ICT Telecommunications Services, and the Pan Am Ticket Office further enhances her institutional knowledge and operational expertise.
A proud Aggie, Christina earned her Associate Degree from NMSU in 2013
