Mari Longpre

Dr. Mari Longpre joined New Mexico State University in 2023 as the Accessibility Officer within the Office of Institutional Equity. In this role, she facilitates reasonable accommodations for employees under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Rehabilitation Act, as well as accommodations related to pregnancy and religious practices.

With over 30 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist, Mari brings a deep understanding of functional needs and workplace accessibility to her work. She is committed to supporting individuals whose conditions or disabilities may be impacting their ability to work or learn successfully.

Originally from Colorado, Mari relocated to Las Cruces after brief time in Arizona, drawn by the warm climate and year-round golfing opportunities for her husband. She has embraced the local culture—from learning to care for pecan trees and navigating haboobs, to enjoying the flavors of southern New Mexico (red chile con carne is her favorite). During lunch breaks, she enjoys walking the beautiful NMSU campus and appreciates the blend of agriculture and desert landscape that makes the area so unique.
